I usually don't agree with Jon Stewart's political point of view, but I can't help but agree with him when it comes to the quality of television journalism. The fact that he can have a comedy show that is a parody of television news shows just how bad things have gotten. I'm not sure if this is was coincidental or done deliberately. But either way it's funny and it's making its way around the internets. Who knew there was a sport called Anvil Shooting ? I didn't until I saw this video. Apparently, there's a National Avil Shooting Contest held each April in Laurel, Mississippi . Anvil Shooting or Anvil Launching as it is also known is relatively unknown as a sport. Personally, I think the sport is getting ready to explode in the United States. In the following video, World Champion Anvil Shooter, Gay Wilkinson gives us a demonstration. The only thing cooler would be a if the Anvil Shooters duke it out with the Illinois State University Trebuchet Team in a winner take all smack-down on pay-per-view.

Going through my stuff in Google Reader, I came across this story on Engadet and just had to find the original SNL commercial for Happy Fun Ball.

I love this ad for the new Android handset coming to Verizon. I think it's great that you know exactly who their talking about without them having to mention Apple or the iPhone.
